    Thumbs up Pocket first-aid solution....

One of the problems I have on the job is climbing down a scaffold, scaling a ladder, jumping off a plate, or whatever - just to run to my truck so I can get a band-aid to fix my or someone else's boo-boo.

I was staring at my armory desk and happened to notice this:

An empty, plastic snuff can...reasonably sturdy...reasonably air-tight and water-resistant.....so I wondered how much of this stuff I could fit in it:

After a little selective packing, and a length modification of the tweezers, I fit 8 small band-aids, 3 large band-aids, 1 alcohol wipe, 1 iodine wipe, 1 insect sting relief wipe, 1 hand-sanitizing wipe, 1 insect venom neutralizing swab, 1 packet of burn cream, and my teeny tweezers.

Now I have a little kit that I can carry in a small pouch in my tool rig that will keep the contents clean, hold up to a pretty good beating, and keep me or one of my guys on the site instead of wasting time jogging back and forth to the truck for those minor bumps and scratches.....

I've done something similar to that with the cub scouts. We used film canisters though.

    Yeah...'cause when you're hanging crown moulding in a $2 million house and you drop blood n their $25,000 carpets....you sure wish you'd had a $0.03 band-aid...

A most excellent idea young man! It won't get bent-up like those Hem... er I mean Altoid tins.

All I have to do is buy a can of Snuff, pour that crap into my horse feed and No Waste. That sh*t's only good for worming horses anyway.

Then I'll have a fine EDC FAK like yours.
