Glad you guys are enjoying it. I have been busy hunting and trying to acquire enough deer pelts. It looks like I will have to hit up some butchers and meat processors to see if they have deer skins that they are going to just throw away so I can tan them.

I made a gourd bowl and cup and carved them with a stone flake and sanded them with a piece of sandstone. I then treated the inside with beesewax to waterproof.

I also have a skunk. The fur is amazingly soft! I skinned him and will be making a bone flesher hopefully today (just gotta' get to it!) from a deer bone and will begin the tanning process. I currently have his skinned. The amount of fat on him really amazed me! I will be turning his fur into a warm hat. He has a decently thick fur as he was putting on his winter coat. Skinning him was among one of the worst outdoor experiences I have had because I accidentally hit his stink glands! BAH!

oh man it was horrible... I had my friend there to help take pictures so I could just show how to skin small game and I will have to have him take new pictures of a different animal because he was gagging the whole time. lol! Oh it was horrible.
