    Beef Kebabs
    Ingredients
    • 1 (1-pound) beef tenderloin
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 medium-size green bell pepper, cut into 20 squares
    • 10 cherry tomatoes
    • 10 small mushrooms
    • 2 small yellow squash, cut into 10 slices
    • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    • Cooking spray
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    •
    Preparation
    Prepare grill.
Cut meat into 20 (3/4-inch) cubes. Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce over meat. Thread meat, bell pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, and squash alternately onto 5 (12-inch) skewers. Sprinkle evenly with black pepper.
Place kebabs on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill, uncovered, 10 minutes or to desired degree of doneness, turning once. Sprinkle evenly with salt.
Tip: If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water 30 minutes before threading to keep them from burning during grilling.

Call me lazy, but I like things simple. Got this from my mother, her sloppy joe recipe. I call it " It's Brown It's Hot, and There's alot of it."
That is cracking me up! But it sounds good!

Am not sure if you noticed, but the past few recipes have been a lot simpler and a lot less ingredients.
I am trying to offer some recipes so that we use all those wonder vegetables that we are picking from our gardens….

    Default Grilled Veggies

Thank you Chefsimms for all the great recipes.

Here's something I do with garden veggies in the summer and it's not hard.

    grilled veggies.jpg

    I love grilled veggies.

Just cut up whatever vegetables you like. I have here:
    zucchini
    yellow squash
    onions
    whole garlic cloves
    tomatoes
    I usually add mushrooms too

mix with a little oil and add some spices like McCormick Garlic & Herb
and sautee on the grill in a barbecue basket

    Just as good leftover too!

Can't get the picture right-side up, but you can still see the veggies.

Made the butternut squash soup tonight as a first course centered around a grilled pork loin. It came out great!

    Thanks, Chef1

Did you use the spiced rum?, It is more of a thanksgiving type soup, fairly filling but good if you like butternut squash. I made this one for the Mayor of Nashville last fall…glad you liked it

The last of my Captain Morgan was used up earlier for other.... ummmm...... purposes. I did put a dollop of sherry in, however.

It actually was reminiscent of potato soup.
