Time and time again thru history it has been shown that people who are armed have governments that are held in check. The same with criminal behavior.
Example is: A town in Georgia required that each household was required to have a firearm for self protection; in the home. What happened you ask? How about a reduction of 35 percent in crimes reported, in one year, with no one being shot. Just the word getting around about firearms was enough to put the criminals in their place!

I agree. We all have our rights to bear arms. Like the signs. We keep concealed weapons on us at the farmers market all the time. Only had to show it once and he got the idea.

What really burns me up is when the government debates more gun control because one obviously mentally-ill person goes crazy and shoots innocent people. I will never understand why the government reacts out of that unfortunate and very sad situation with one crazy guy by trying to limit the rights of sane, honorable citizens who have the right to bear arms to protect their homes and families.
I mean, it's like banning peanut butter from every household because one household in the country had an allergic reaction. I just don't get it.
