    Default Got my membership card today!


    I applied two weeks ago to membership of the "Garand Collectors Society" located in Kansas City. I was pleasantly surprised to get a packet in the mail today with my membership card and a great, well done magazine: The GCA Journal!

    For those of you who don't know, there is a gubberment program called "CMP" (Civilian Marksmanship Program) where you can purchase military grade rifles very cheaply and easily. There are two "stores", one in Anniston Alabama and the other in Ohio. One of the requirements to purchase rifles is to be part of a sponsored gun club. (As well as military background, Law enforcement, NRA I believe, Etc)

    The Garand Collectors Society works for the club and can be all done online for $25 a year!

    I'm off to the store in Anniston in a week to buy myself a piece of history. I would stress ALL of you to go and get a rifle before they are all gone. They used to have M1 Carbines and 1903's. not anymore....

    I have both an M1 Garand and an M1 Carbine from there. Both great guns and hassle free once you are set up and running. Prices used to be cheap, I don't know anymore since Hillary was/is trying, or maybe succeeded, in keeping lend/lease returns from coming back from Korea.
