Need to get rid of a ground Hog, with out hurting it

We have a ground hog (May-be more) living in our barn…they are digging holes everywhere and making quite a mess. They also pay hell in our garden. Does anyone know if there is something we can put down to get them to move…(ie Mothballs)we really don`t want to hurt them, and I really don`t want to try to trap them…any idea would be greatly appreciated

I have heard that putting mothballs in the mouth of the tunnels will do it. I am more....... unforgiving. I can't tell you what I would do because I am sure it would sound cruel.

We tried the moth balls but it did not seem to work, they just stopped using that hole.

I have used moth balls to get rid of skunks, and they worked. Call a pest control company, and they can remove them. Same people who would catch raccoons or squirrels in your attic.

Just saw an episode of the Turtleman catching two groundhogs, but he is nuts, and catches them with his hands. Not the recommended way. He does do it without harming the animals.
