Default PVC vs metal well bucket

The submerged pump in my well has at last died. Although the water was very hard, we used it for 15 years before rural water came to the area. Left the well hooked up to outside spiget used it for all my outside water needs.
Problem was everytime the power went off, no water both before and after hooking up to rural water .
I want to put in a hand pump but in the meantime a well bucket of the torpedo would be work. I've checked the web and have found the metal bucket at Leamons and several PVC buckets. I'm leaning toward PVC because the description of the metal bucket says it may sustain dents in shipping. This does not sould like the metal well bucket I used as a kid. Those things were tough!
What I want is any opinions from people who have actually seen or used these either type of buckets personally. Which seems to be the best to you and why?
Even if I get a hand pump, I will use the bucket on the other well on my property so this is not for emergency use. This is an everyday use.

Get one of each, when you place your order tell them to pack your buckets properly there is no excuse to ship without proper packaging.

PVC degrades over time...if u keep the metal bucket in good shape, will last a lifetime..

I have used the metal ones and they always worked and were at that time pretty heavy duty......I would go metal also....
