    Default CT firearms laws?


    Good morning/afternoon/evening,

    I am looking to find out about the firearms laws in Connecticut. I have a friend of mine who would like to buy her adult son a rifle. He really likes shooting my AR-15 and M1A and his Mom asked me to help pick out a rifle that would produce a "Wow" factor in the young man. I know exactly what would work, but I'm not certain of the CT laws. Can someone here inform me of the laws governing AR-15 or M1A or perhaps a Mini-14 rifle in Connecticut? I also need to know if he and or she needs to obtain any sort of FID card or anything like that... so if any of you fine folks have the info I need for getting this kid his first real rifle I'd really appreciate your input!

    I've been to that link and have begun reading... I'm hoping to find a local CT resident who knows the ins and outs can break down the legaleze... even though I have a degree in English some of that crap is just written to be confusing... I bet it's to keep lawyers a valid and necessary evil! ha ha ha kind of like leaders of the Church before people could read or buy their own scriptures! ha ha
