Nice collection! I really like your SKS. They are great guns and I like the stock on yours.

These rifles are the cats meow for any and all utility uses. I am not surprised the US gov't didn't adapt this rifle for our own due to its simple design and potential low manufacturing cost. I never did develop a fondness for the AR platform, ether civilian or military, the plastic and aluminum doesn't do it for me. Sorry. Nonetheless, the SKS is popular and adaptable in its many configurations. It will be with us for a long time.

I've been very happy with mine. It's the shorter range partner to my 7mm magnum.

My younger brother has a "stock" SKS he enjoys shooting. I just seem to like the AR platform rifles. I guess that is why they make all typoes of guns.

I like my SKS better than my AK`s and AR-15 (price may have something to do with that) Next to the SKS I like my AR-10 (I prefer the 308 & 7.62x39 more than the 223)

Liked te SKS and AK's for jungle and thick brush in full auto/select fire. Trained with them and patroled some in the Army with them. Durable and reliable. Good looking weapons Chef.

I bought two at a local department store years ago for $79 ea. and stored them away for several years until my two youngest were old enough, and gave them each one for Christmas one year. They still use them.

I have a Russian SKS that is slick as glass. However, the trigger is horrendous. Frankly, I have never investigated why the trigger is so bad. It only sits in the gun safe. Might be an easy fix.

I've been trying to buy a 'paratrooper' from a guy I know. It take AK mags. I've been after it for several years. He won't sell!

I bought a bunch when they were selling for $84.00 each, I still have a few. I had a nice shinny SKS paratrooper and sold it when Clinton was president, made enough money (with his assault weapons ban list) to put a nice down payment on a new 1995 pick-up. If only I still had all the guns I`ve had in the past…the list could go on, and on and on…
