Default Black powder weapons/Making Black Powder

I started buying black powder guns last year and have not looked back. Ive got round ball molds for each of my revolvers and make my own powder, I can shoot, recover the lead, re-cast them and shoot them again aaaand no government involved. You can actually ship a black powder gun through the mail! You can get into a brass framed Colt replica for under 200 bucks.

Make your own powder????? That is the only reason I haven't looked into it. I figure if I am dependant on buying powder, I may as well buy bullets.

I would love it if you can explain about making powder. Is it hard? What materials do you need, and can they be found in NATURE?

Coyote, obviously it was a typo. He meant to say blackpowder GUM. It's all the rage with gothic kids these days.

I used the term gun because revolvers are not my only interest. Powder is not difficult to make, I just made a batch and was planning to make a video tutorial, should be done Friday, Ill post a link to the video once I get it up. Not sure if the folks running this site want me to put up the instruction for making powder but if its cool with them Ill sure hook it up.

I have a lot of BP firearms and shoot them almost every weekend. If you want to make your own BP you can get every thing you need at Lowes.
