NP at all. I love Slingshots they are small lightweight easy to pack and quite. You cant beat it for SHTF hunting where you dont want to draw alot of attention to yourself. We all know when SHTF your gonna want to stay as in cognito as possible. Slingshots achieve this by not having a huge boom going off for miles for people to recon you out.

Bill Hayes on the SS Forum can light a match from 20 meters with his shooting. The guy is rediculous and makes some badass slings. He has alot of Vids online also showing his shooting skills.

I would highly recommend that anyone prepping for SHTF senarios to add a sling to the must have gear in their bag.

    Default Slingbow

Also to add: if you need to take out big game you can always go with stronger bands and make what is called a Slingbow. You all have probably seen this before with Dave Cantiberry of Dual Survivor. You can also Youtube that and see some people taking out deer and wild boar with a Slingbow. Im accurate with a slingbow out to 40 yards. With the right bands and arrow combination I can shoot a 125 grain arrow down range with broadhead at around 185 fps which is plenty to take out a deer with a well placed shot.

Im huge on multifunctional gear. if I can shoot rocks steel balls lead balls arrows and anything else Im not restricted by just the ammo I can carry. Yes I have a remington 870 as my primary weapon but when that runs out of ammo in the field in a SHTF senario I need to be able to still hunt. Slingshot is the answer.

Let me know if anyone has any questions on application of a sling in the field. I dont mind helping out the community.

I just picked up two sling shots, want to pick up steel pellets to use in them. Have not shot one but hope to start practicing with my grand daughters soon.

I have the folding wrist-rocket from WalMart and love plinking and hunting with it. Found a .40 cal round ball mould at a flea market and make my own ammo from old wheel weights.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

It sounds like a good project for after deer season...get out one of the old slingshots and learn to use it again.

Damn...another thing we've got to go get and get handy with........something new almost everyday.....lol. Marbles for shot? Sounds inexpensive and just heavy enough. Hey......my neighbors junkyard should provide plenty of sizable nuts that would also work. Wally world here we come. Yes, yes..extra bands.

I was gonna suggest a slingbow....lol. I've made one and have it in my GHB. Keep a couple of arrows in the truck too. My next project is to make the arrows a "take down" design so they will fit in my pack better. Got a couple ideas, just need something to cut the carbon arrows with.
