    Default Paiute Deadfall

Was out practicing Paiute deadfalls and throwing clubs today. Boy are my thumbs sore! haha.

Look for tutorials on the main page later tonight!

The Paiute deadfall is probably my favorite deadfall trap. It's more simple to setup, in my opinion, than the figure 4 or other conventional deadfalls. It's my "Go to" trap for primitive trapping.

Cool, I can't wait to see what you've done. I typically like snares...but I have an open mind.
Hmmm... been fearsome confused for a month or two, but I ain't never been lost!

Snares are effective but this is just another effective tool to add to your survival toolbox.

I am also a big snare fan. Foraging small game here in West Virginia is squirel. The coyotes have placed the rabbits on the endangered species list.

I dont care for the piute. To me its too iffy to set up . There are easier deadfalls IMO but I prefer tosspole twitchup types. Squirrel poles rule where there are squirrels of course. Still all good to practice with and a knowledge of many is helpfull.
