Aside from being a huge failure in this guy's personal and spiritual life, its a whooping huge OPSEC fail. They found his hideout/bunker by looking at photos of the bunker back at his house. Dr. Robie

Why do you think he had photos of the bunker? Maybe he was showing off to sites similar to this one, no dig on this one, I use it and enjoy it, but maybe that's why my prepping posts never include pictures, only descriptions. My BOL and BOB bury sites along the way are MINE. Not to be shared.

I agree, and I also believe he has bury sites out there right now, left lost forever.

he will get out, later rather than sooner, or people he was sharing information with, will get his goods. I have to believe that if he was taking pictures of the bunker that it wasn't for his own enjoyment.

Thanks for the update. Very sad. Like any other "activity" with a large following, there are some folks involved in prepping that aren't stable. But that doesn't mean the act of prepping is off, or that EVERYONE involved has issues. Very sad story.

maybe we better find another name other than calling ourselves preppers. this man sounds like he was very depressed or on something. The media will now look at anyone that calls themselves a prepper and thank we are crazy and out to kill and that is not the case. We are all just looking for ways to suvive the coming colaspe or what ever else is going to happen. What's with the end coming in 2 weeks? What was this man thinking. He kills his wife and child because he thaught the end was coming in 2 weeks. listoning to this sounds like that is why he killed his family. I hope people arn't getting that crazy out there that they are so fearful of what is coming that they think killing they're family will salve anything. What was he thinking?

I guess I'm getting old(er) cause I just don't give a rats ass about what most people think. I care about what my immediate family thinks, and their onboard. The rest of the world for the most part of what I've seen, is nuts, and I prefer to be different to that anyway. I use the old saying from WW2 for my prep efforts, "Loose lips sink ships". If no one knows anything, no one can say anything. Just one of my personal rules.
