this guy is lucky he's alive. Common sense should have told him he wasn't where he should have been. But it also shows how a situation can turn very wrong, very fast. This type of crowd can appear in seconds. Would you be ready?

He made multiple bad choices, he was way too hammered to be alone, he was in an unfamiliar place. Sad.

I had an Arnis based fencing/ stick fighting class for several years. One thing I taught was tactics -vs- multiple subjects.
There is a huge danger, because while you are paying attention to one, the others take advantage.

I see this video and cringe. I feel bad for him, but to some extent I blame him for placing himself in this situation.

Some people make themselves victims. Mistake number one: being in Baltimore in the first place. Lastly when do we get to play the race card because if the colors of people in this had been the other way it would be all over the media 24/7 with rallies demanding justice?

What he said +1!!!!! This racism crap is so one sided!!! Instead of a "white guy", the detective labeled him a "drunk guy" and said that the same thing would have happened to anyone of any color. Looked to me like there were a lot of drunk guys in the video... Strange they picked him???

I can't help it... where's the riots and backlash and where are the "Reverends" and media to descend upon this and exploit it for the racially-motivated crime it was.

CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE what the media would do with this story if the guy was black. Racism is racism. It works both ways. The biggest tragedy in this is realizing how politically incorrect it has become to report a story where a white guy is victimized by a mob of blacks. Ooops, it's politically incorrect to say blacks.

Calming it down and reflecting deeper, the part that saddens me most... fellow human beings (in this case black) show a complete lack of remorse. I'm not talking about the animals who did this. I'm talking about those who stood by, those who watched, those who filmed, laughed, joked, and then eventually posted the footage in the spirit of boasting. My God... what an eternal disservice they have done (and are doing) to their own race?
