Does anyone know of a good basic book on primitive trapping and fishing. I watch a lot of survival shows but I think they take for granted that people will know a few of the basic steps and do not show them. I am welcome to any information.

First, what part of Tennessee are you working in? I spent 50 years hunting and fishing the middle TN area and know the panfishing and trapping techniques for that area well.

Also be advised that many "survival" techniques of fishing and all snares and traps are either illigal in TN or require a trapping liscense.

I have an old OLD book on snaring and trapping but it is misplaced. I will look for it and see if it is still in print for you. It is GOOD for a basic snaring/ trapping primer.
