    Default Savage 270

I have access to my Dad's gun case, and haven't bought my own long range rifle.because I can use his. But I haven't seen anyone on here gush about it like the do the more common ones like a rem 30-06. So what does the group on here think about the Savage 270? I have used it to ruin a lot of game's day. But is it where I should be for for a survival rifle? Opinions?

A 270 is a good rifle I don't have one but I have 3 in my group that do. I do reload 270's for them, I have a ATR 30-.06 because it's just what I've always used. If I didn't have it I would go with a 270. As far as the difference here a good link for you.

I think it's an excellent choice. It's a common round thats been around awhile so ammo availability shouldnt be an issue. I've shot one some and have friends who swear by them. Having taken whitetail, elk and varmints with them. Accurate round with several bullet wight options.
