Had a very enjoyable meeting with a fellow i met through this forum. We both seemed to leave satisfied that each other was what we portray through the anonymity and 'smokescreen' of an Internet forum. We are in the same community and share similar interests in prepping. Hopefully we will meet others who share similar interests, and can develop a loose 'community' of folks who can offer a support system in case there is a sustained collapse. I am a loner by nature, and a long career having to deal with people has left me somewhat misanthropic. But it is apparent (especially after Katrina) that it is a good idea for like-minded folks to make each other's acquaintance and come to know where we are. The 'have nots' and 'gimme-gimmes' are going to out number us in any prolonged disaster. Thanks to this forum for the service it provides.
