Welcome from the U.P. of Michigan! It seems to me like the old saying goes, you can lead a horse(sheeple) to water but you can't make em drink. Just don't let them bring you down, do what's best for you & your family and pray they come around before it is too late.

    Welcome to the board sudsy7!

You asked the million dollar question! Here's a trick that I've found to open a door or two without showing your hand. Basically I collect any positive prepping information from mainstream media and the government. I went to the Fema website and printed off a few pages of preparedness content. The WallStreet Journal has provided a few articles on a probable Food, and fuel crisis. There have also been a few articles on USAToday's website concerning financial collapse that might work well too.
After collecting a few choice articles and documents, you can do one of two things...
#1 Put them in an envelope and go around sharing it with others, while "claiming that you found it taped to your mailbox"
    Goes kinda like this.
"Hey Joe! Did you put this on my mailbox?... No?... I wonder who did? Check this out.. It's interesting and even a little bit scary... What do you think Joe?
#2 Print out a bunch of them, stuff them in envelopes and tape them to the mailboxes of the people you want to convert. Never own up to doing it, and claim that you got one too.
Either option can get people thinking, and talking, and since it never came from you... You don't have to worry about blowing your OPSEC or being labeled "The Crazy Survivalist".

Bear in mind that many people will have no interest and will never want to see the world and society for what it really is. You can't take it personally. They aren't rejecting you. They are rejecting their own responsibilty for their own welfare.

Just an idea... Take it for what its worth.
