Combine this info with the new Homeland Defense bill, the one that says that anyone including taxpaying lawabiding citizens can be arrested and detained without miranda rights if ANY government official deems them to be a terrorist (by their own subjective determination, no proof required) which means that ANY CITIZEN can be nabbed and stripped of his job and all his posessions, especially including any firearms and any survival goods (ie, food rations for more than a week). Not just our second amendment, but our entire bill of constitutional rights goes out the door if a high enough ranking politician doesn't like you, even just personally! Whatever happened to "We the People?"

this thread needs to be bumped up for views by new folks.

in today's atmosphere, there are some things you never joke about, and some places you never say certain things. lol i think it's illegal to say "going postal" while in the post office

I have seen his rant on youtube where he explains in his own words about the way he was baker-acted (at least that's what we call it) I think he might have some mental health issues, and I can only say that if he made the statements that he admits to making, then he gave them the leverage to take his guns.

The way the baker act works (or whatever your same "danger to yourself or others" law ) if you are once hospitalized, then you have to fight and appeal to get your rights back. It is just the opposite of innocent till proven guilty.

So the lesson learned is we have to watch ourselves at every moment to not give anyone the ammunition to use to question our lifestyle. That's why you dont joke about having a bomb on a plane. They do not accept it. But we know that, so if you do and you get arrested, then that's your fault.

We have to be vigilant. People do not understand us, and what they do not understand, they fear.

all good points. the moral of this aesop's story is - be careful of anything you say out loud in public company because it could land you incarcerated!

underline the fact that most any publically accessable services institution, be it postal, transportation, health, or whatever, if it accepts any state or federal funding whatsoever, then it is bound by whatever governmental order that crosses the manager's desk. and that includes anyone who utters any of the words appearing on the no-no list!

I still joke with my facebook friend named jack that if i ever run across him at the airport, don't expect me to holler out "Hi, Jack!"

My lady friend occasionally jokes "you're crazy". I have told her to keep this between us as her jesting could be misconstrued by "others" and lead to .... trouble.

My wife was violently ill from a stomach bug a couple weeks ago. I took her to the ER and because she had had the screaming violent poops for 6 hours and had thrown up at the same time needless to say she didnt feel like talking much. So as she lay there I answered most of the dr's questions.

Now to claim our AFLAC insurance we asked for the records and dr notes to send in...... DR said in his notes that my wife shows signs of depression because she didnt want to talk with him.

IDIOT! but now that is in her permanent medical records.

some medical terms are so over used that it's pathetic. At the same time, hospitals and ER's are so liability conscious that they use the "shot gun" approach to make sure all the bases are covered. Easy fix to the "depression" eval is to go to your own doctor and have him give her a follow up. At the same time, cover the "depression" label from the ER report and have your doctor write a specific response in her files, disregarding the "depression" label.

This is another fine example of how anything you post on the internet can and will be used against you. I'm sure that when they did the evaluation they more than likely also viewed his youtube rants and that was enough to nail the coffin shut. They will also be used as evidence against him when he tries to get exonerated from the charges. So take heed, anything you post on facebook, youtube or any other publicly available site will be used against you. It may seem harmless to you and you may have posted it in jest, but the internet cannot determine the satire, inflection or tone in which you post, as someone can when talking face to face. Also never joke about anything like suicide with doctors, as was posted earlier they are required by law to inform the authorities. Even if you've known your doctor for years and joke with them regularly some things are better left unsaid. Big brother is watching and he has thousands of lackies willing to do his bidding without hesitation.
