The first thing I would like to do is apologize for the behavior of a poster that came to this site at MY recommendation. They went a bit overboard with posting and apparently went a bit out in to left field with the content of their subjects. If the administration of the site would like for me to pull the link to this site off my signature line on the site they came from....I will.

The next thing is an apology to everyone about my posting of the "Feds demanding list of customers at LDS food store". This story was posted originally on the "Oathkeepers" website. The Oathkeepers are an loose organization of military and LEOs....who have recognized their oath to protect the Constitution of the United states of America....and not all asked of them will conform to that. I know some of the members in my AO....and they are stand up folks. I trust them.

On the story I linked....They posted a retraction....as soon as I saw that they did....I followed suit. I was informed that one day I would learn to recognize false stories and should not post them. I let it go....as not to stir up an issue that wasn't very prevalent on this site.

There has been a post made that falls in to the "tinfoil" category....in which folks were scolded for.

My suggestion....is to have a "conspiracy/tinfoil" topic area on the forum. It could be made not to link to "new post"....as not to scare away members.

I suggest this due to the fact that what folks may consider "tinfoil" now....may be the "oh crap....why didn't we see that coming" of tomorrow. If you look back through history...can you really find a point that any people who were oppressed....do a face palm and wish they would have seen it earlier.

Where in history....during his quick trip from chancellor to fuhrer....did some of the Jews take it upon themselves to be proactive and say...."I'm outta here"? What was their reasoning for leaving....when thousands of others did not. Could it have been information?....a gut feeling?....a sign that other didn't see? The thousands that stayed....did they say "It's not going to get that bad."

I'm not saying that we have aliens in area 51....or that there are mind control devices.....or that there is a new bunker under the White House....or that we did or didn't land on the moon....or that the govt is stock piling food.....or that we have CIA sponsored assassin teams....or that the cops are over armed.....or that we sent guns to Mexican drug cartels.....or the Chinese own half the country.....or whatever....

To live this "prepping" lifestyle....you HAVE to buy in to some form or fashion of conspiracy theory. If you look at it, those who prep are less than 1%. If it was mainstream or the proper train of thought....wouldn't you be in line with a flock of sheep, that is saying to themselves " it's not really that bad ".

If I need to be banned for this train of thought....so be it. I enjoy this site...and the folks on it. And if you have something to say that seems a bit.....um....odd...then fine. I don't have to read it...or respond to it. As long as it doesn't clog up the board....who cares. I personally don't get offended. If I read something that interests me....great....that's why I'm here.

This is my $0.02 worth....and now you have the wonderful opportunity to exercise free will....and take it or leave it.

No we will not be doing a conspiracy or tin foil section. As I have said many times this is not the site for that, and will not be tolerated here. There are tons of other wacky forums out there for that.

This site is about Survival skills, homesteading, disaster preparation. It's to be a resource for learning, sharing, meeting new people and discovering.

Think of it as a real publication, a book or magazine. Where skills are learned & traded, concepts in prepping, starting over, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, trapping, shelter, building, farming, foraging, storage, cooking, etc are shared

That is all.
