    Default Natural numbing for mouth???

A friend went to the dentist and had two wisdom teeth cut out the dentist then put stitches in. She was at work two days later and I asked her about the pain.
She reached and picked up a popular branch about the size of your thumb showed it to me and said all you had to do was peal the bark back and take a small sliver of the interior wood pop it in your mouth and chew. It numbed the whole inside of her mouth.
Anyone heard of this before??? Is it safe? She has been off work for the holidays and I'm definitely going to talk to her some more about this. It might come in real handy in a SHTF situation.

I don't know but I'm going to talk to her some more about the popular tree and find out. One other thing she said it tasted like sh** but as long as it worked she was willing.

For tooth aches we use ground cloves. Put a pinch in your month by the tooth that hurts. And in a few min. the pain will be gone. The taste isn't that great at first but I found that I got use to it quickly. Last me a good hour

I've never heard of the popular bark, thanks something to practice. I have used the purpulish colored root of western white yarrow, it works well.

any willow tree, aspen, poplar all have an effect on pain when chewed on. If you peel back the bark you'll find a slippery inner right before the hardwood thats the part you wanna use.
