Not from there but I have some contacts. My father was born there and we still own some land. It's in the north, central area northwest of Monroe. Springhill is the closest "large" town. We built a log cabin on the property 30 years ago that we used as a getaway. A local resident gave us the logs in return for the labor involved tearing down his old barns. Worked out great for all parties. Did a lot of hunting in that area. Ex-in-laws used to live in the Baton Rouge area but that's about it for me and the dear neighboring state of Louisiana."The enemy is the necessary condition for practicing patience."
