Default I hate living in the city.

I found out the other day that carrying a folding knife with any type of a locking blade is illegal where I live. Well I have been breaking the law for a couple of years now (oops). Luckily I did not find this out in a bad way.

Just wanting to give everyone a heads up just in case check for goofy laws that may be in effect where you live.

I'm still going to carry my knife but more hidden now.

In Texas that is weird I figured a good knife would be issued at the border when you come in.

You sure it's not blade length dependant?

And what does carry mean, concealed, non concealed?

Luckily all pocket knives are legal in Arizona including switch blades and out the fronts.

Florida allows you to carry a blade as long as it is not longer then 5 inches from the tip to the end of the blade. We also do not allow spring loaded or switch blade knifes. Would not carry one any way, they are trash!

That may be true for the pawn shop and gun show knives. Microtechs are extremely well made. My HALO III has a blade made from D2. It has been replaced with the monster HALO V.

yup.....that is really where you get what you pay for.

I have not made the investment in any due to the fact I cannot carry them....otherwise I would in a heartbeat.

The law says you can only carry a knife that is more than 5.5" and a locking folding knife which becomes a fixed blade at that point (San Antonio Municipal Code 1959, § 26-28.1). Texas law states that you cannot carry a knife longer than 5.5" (Texas Penal Code § 46.01.)
They let you carry a knife that will make you break the State code. lol

I have a cwp in my state and a utah carry permit that lets me carry in many more. I carry everywhere regardless of laws. The law is I live. Beyond that I let the dogs and the hogs sort it out.
