I came across this by link from another blog I read regularly. Thinking of all of us here! http:// http://www.gunsamerica.com/b...riggernometry/

True....but in self defensive shooting....center of mass targeting is still the best way to ensure hits on target.

a single "center of mass shot" will not always be a show stopper.....but I find that if you follow it up with 10 to 15 more it will generaly do the job.

Unless you get the "lights out" shot.....the best you can hope for is leaks....and the more leaks you can instal in the attacker....the faster they will be empty and run out of gas.

    Just my opinion.

Good article, I can see how that can easily be forgotten after shooting paper targets who won't fight back.

I still can't believe that someone could be sued for defending themselves. I saw one case where the family of a armed robber sued the homeowner because their main source of income was taken away (The scumbag who was robbing people).
The government can only give to you what they take from you.

When this 200 grain .40 handload hits center mass at 1500 fps there will be bone flying out the back at 1000 fps

So why not just practice more often with head shots. Like the quote from the patriot "aim small miss small "?

wrists, huh? how old are you, 10? That is a moronic post for an adult. Most shots in combat miss the entire MAN, and most hits are poor ones. We aim at the center of the chest if the entire man is visible, or the center of whatever part of his is visible, fire a lot, swiftly and carefully, hope for the best and seek cover with all due haste. If you are carrying a gun, you SHOULD also be wearing concealed armor, It's perfectly legal to do so, and decent vests can be had at gun shows for $150 or so.
