Myth or not unless you are a sniper who can pick his shots and doesn't have adrenaline working against him I will still go for center mass

I too, feel you were joshing, monet861. If not, I want to schedule some shooting lessons.

    Thanks for the link, Scottishblacksmith.

Change of subject, is the car in your avatar picture for sale? Not a good BOV but would be nice styling around "herd cutting" (Arak) until it hits the fan. )

We aim at the center of the chest if the entire man is visible, or the center of whatever part of his is visible, fire a lot, swiftly and carefully, hope for the best and seek cover with all due haste. If you are carrying a gun, you SHOULD also be wearing concealed armor, It's perfectly legal to do so, and decent vests can be had at gun shows for $150 or so.
Anyone that can possibly think shooting at someones wrists is a serious option really needs a life. Sorry, but leave a shithead response to a joke....You go ahead and fire a lot, when your out of ammo, I'll pick you off with one shot(to the wrist of course) I also don't hope for the best, I count on the training I recieved from the Marine Corps, not hope. But thanks for the laugh.

My Mustang is a great BOV, it's almost EMP proof, convertible so everyone can shoot cleanly, almost olive drab and pretty quick too.

And I have spent time in combat, so thanks for the lesson.

I hope you didn't take my reply wrong. First, I LOVE the Mustang. I want it! I had a '67 but it was not convertible. 289, auto, but a rough paint job. I was young and not so wise then or I would still own it. Secondly, if you were shooting at the wrists, and I know you were not, then it is I that wanted the lessons. I was making the absurd more obvious.

Find a good hot factory load to do the job....save the hand loads for training.

Been a point of contention for me...cause I reload....but I see the legal point.

Echo2, I agree with ya, don't give those liberal scum sucking lawyers ammo for taking away your money doing what is right. Defending yourself. I would still use center of mass shots, or maybe 2 to the chest 1 to the head. Thats how LEO's are trained.

Your reply was fine, it's anyone that can take a comment like that as serious and then be a , well you know. I bought the car for the (I know I'll catch some grief for this) $8000 paint job. It is the original gold ivy color with lime gold interior. We all have cars we wish we would have kept.

The situation will determine what immediate action you take. While attending LEO classes here in Florida (1994) we were shown data that of the reported gunfights (nation wide) most took place at 3 feet to 7 feet away from each other.

So in most situations it is one man standing with one either seating (in a Car) or standing. We trained to shoot to stop. What that means is shoot until the threat has stopped any and all action to injure me. They say you need to think always about the location and what cover you can use.

In the one case I was involved, in was a home invasion of my home by 2 criminals. I had my .40 Glock and put 2 clips in them until they fell, meanwhile I put cover between me and them, called 911. reloaded before approaching them from a different direction. One was moving so he I handcuffed. The other was DOA. I had arrested both for drug dealing less then 2 year before (they served time but got released early for good behavior).

They tell me it was to be a revenge killing by them, on all members of my family.

I still keep a loaded weapon near my bed and other places in the home. You never know when you will need it!!!!
