I just started building my kit.

    Maxpedition Jumbo Versipak
Browning Stone Cold folder with a Tanto blade
    5.11 ATAC PLx flashlight
first aid kit with the mollie attachments
    a Strikeforce Fire starter
    1 qt widemouth water bottle
    2 large contractor trash bags

I know they aren't top of the line but I figured I'd buy what I can afford to build my kit and then replace it when I can afford a better quality product.

Got my first aid kit today. Bought it from cheaper than dirt. The metal snaps broke when i tried to unsnap them. Also discovered it was too large to attach to my edc bag. Going to keep it in my jeep. So as i purchase other items for it, I'm going to built a smaller kit in an altoids tin for the edc.
