Good point. The MH's i carry are the dual serving ones. They would get me through 24 hours of walk/rest. But not enough for 2 people off of one meal. The main reason I keep them is they store 7 years, weigh nothing, and i don't mind eating one at work for lunch to help w/ rotation. I supplement in the bag with either trail mix, jerky, or sports bars.

Is this a GHB or BOB your title said BOB but you mentioned working 50 miles from home

Bag might be a bit small for BOB but good for GHB, please clarify thanks

Good point. I assumed he meant GHB, but he might actually mean a BOB.
If you're 50 miles from home, and dressed for office work......you might need some boots and socks. Your wife DEFFINATELY will.

    Good point guys.

This would be a GHB. Once I figure out how to edit the title, I'll fix it.

Small break down carbine in the caliber (and preferably magazine) of your sidearm.

    Couple camo rain ponchos.

    mole skins.

    FAK

    shower wipes.

    binocs or monoc.

    fence pliers.

In mine....I keep a pair of crocs (generic) hooked to the outside of my pack....they weigh next to nothing....can wear while boots dry....and if a boot fails.....wear with heavy socks.

So you are trying to put 6 man-days worth of goods in one small bag. Thats going to be rough. Now the questions are...climate? External water sources? External Shelter?
Frankly son..unless you have a full set of bdu's loaded nicely AND the bag..its gonna be rough. Im assuming that the second person is female? Unless she is a hard core rangerette..shrug. Why not simply get a second bag? Hell..check the second hand stores and find another bag. Doesnt matter if its not cammy. Heck..the East German bags are cheap and will hold gear nicely for the lady. Frankly...if you need the bag..you are not going to have enough Stuff for yourself..let alone for 2 people.

I like to carry 550 cord it is very useful and you can alwayse tie it to the outside of the pack provided you have something to tie it down with (just kidding it has been a long day for me)

I know its going to be tough, but I'm confident that it can be done. It is a small bag, but it's got MOLLE on it, so I can add some pouches as I go.

First, I'm going to list out what items I already have:

    -DATREX 18 bar block (food)
    -4sevens Q mini AA flashlight
    -gerber artifact multi-tool
    -Glock 33rd factory magazine
-paper maps of GA and AL

I will continuously update the list on this post as I go. I will also categorize it.

I plan to order some items online today.
