Help me build a new BOB (Bug out Bag)

Edited BOB to GHB.

I work 50 miles from home.

Here is the bag (got it on sale of course) that I plan to use.

So I'm planning on doing a 3 day minimalist style, for two people. I know that is asking a lot from such a small pack, but I think it can be done. If it were easy, everyone would do it.

Any suggestions on contents? What things do you most value in your GHB? I will update here as I add things.

water filter knife fire starter and tp the rest will take care of self

stainless steel water bottle (2), 6 mountain house meals, sun block, bic lighters (2), maps home, gloves, paracord, compass, gps, first aid kit, multi-tool ( i carry a Leatherman MUT), spare mag, socks, foot powder, flashlight, batteries, etc, etc.

Two people, one bag? Why? Is there no room to store two bags? Is the other person incapable of carrying their own bag?

I don't mean to pry .... it just seems you're setting yourself up kinda short. Better to have and not need .... three days .... 72 hours can be a long time to suffer depending upon the source of discomfort. Is this for summer, winter, crusin in the mobile?

It's a Molle pack .... do you have any accessory pouches for say .... toiletries for two? Main compartment should contain a change of clothes, shoes and food .... every thing else compartmentalized and attached .... just my $0.02

This is for my wife and I. We work in the same building. She is likely able to carry a pack of her own, but I don't want to bet on it.

My plan is to put one of these packs in each of our vehicles. I would plan to have them for the drive home in SHTF, with the understanding that depending on a number of factors, we may have to walk.

Seasons aren't very drastic here, so I don't think that matters much. Am I wrong?

Probably not .... although unless I'm in the shower, I hate being wet.

I would add 2 emergency blankets, water pure tabs, micro burner, bottle of heet for fuel, wet wipes(not just for children anymore) ferro rod/striker, sling shot/250 rnds of ammo.

Funny timing... I've been in the process of re-doing my wifes GHB the past few nights. Rain Gear as Oscar mentioned, is always a priority for me. I also put a multi-tool and small fixed blade in her bag that would be transferred to her belt when on foot. She's in an office environment so appropriate clothes and shoes were top of the list as well. Small FAK, and fire making tools. Food and Water

I plan to be with her (We work only a few miles apart) but plans don't always work out. I need her bag to sustain her on it's own.

Just thought of this... Since you don't want to bank on her being able to carry a dedicated pack, You might consider a secondary smaller pack kept empty in the car. This would allow you to divvy up the load if needed, and allow space for carrying resources as you come across them.

So you are trying to put 6 man-days worth of goods in one small bag. Thats going to be rough. Now the questions are...climate? External water sources? External Shelter?
Frankly son..unless you have a full set of bdu's loaded nicely AND the bag..its gonna be rough. Im assuming that the second person is female? Unless she is a hard core rangerette..shrug. Why not simply get a second bag? Hell..check the second hand stores and find another bag. Doesnt matter if its not cammy. Heck..the East German bags are cheap and will hold gear nicely for the lady. Frankly...if you need the bag..you are not going to have enough Stuff for yourself..let alone for 2 people.
