Default I am the only one?!?!

In the northeast that is! Come on there must be more people up here who want to "live off of the grid" and raise their own food. All I need to do it get a windmill up and my farm is good to go. We raise our own meat and veggies now, slaughter the small animals all on our own. Just don't have the equipment for the big ones yet, but could do one in a pinch! Plan on trying to work my fields with the two draft horses I have once I get the mare driving well. Drop me a line if you are in the frozen northeast!

Southern Maine seacoast here. I have a bit of land with 1 barn, 1 shop and other out biuldings. We raise chickens for meat and eggs. Next year we will raise goats. We grow our own veggies and apples, we will be planting pears in the spring. Plus living by the sea I clam and fish and the hunting is pretty good. nope scratch that there is no wild game in maine. I work a little more each year on getting off the grid.

I will get some pics up someday! I do have some up on another site. As for the other Vermontahs, I am up in the Champlain Islands. We stay a bit colder then the main landahs in the winter! Means for a longer growing seasons and a little longer winter though.
