I'm a big zombie fan also. Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living got me hooked.
I really like the Walking Dead series, so much that I had to buy it on dvd. Hard to have to wait for season two though.

We bought the Night of the Living Dead, the 1990 version, off Amazon, its my favorite version. sure I appreciate the original, but there is something about the "candy man"... and old 80's attire lol.. Dawn of the Dead scared the crap out of me the first 10 times I watched it.. then I saw the extended version on DVD and I saw the extra stuff on "Andy" and then kinda got used to the idea.. lol.. Another one I love is 28 days.. great inner city scenario.. crazy but makes you think.. And to throw it out there Shaun of the Dead is a favorite.. comedy/horror and a situational thinker..

now that was great. the 1990 remake directed by Tom savini who did the special effects for the original Dawn of the Dead. Love Patricia Tall man in that. " Man they are so slow, we could just walk past them" LOL. best remake Ive seen. though I do love the New Dawn of the Dead as long as I dont watch the credits.

Shawn of the Dead is in the top Five of the Zombie movies I love.

why not the credits? It really caught me off guard that it was
Johnny Cash singing the opening for Dawn of the Dead! (wait, is that right?)

    first yes its Johnny cash.

why not the credits.. becuase they add to the movie, and every one dies. annoyed the crap out of me LOL

why does that bother me. becuase some where around 2000 hollywood decided that killing off every one in a movie was a great idea. yes the first time or two it was a shocker. after that its old hat. and annoying. I dont spend two hours rooting for the good guys to watch them die in almost every horror movie LOL. its become the normal ending for horror movies.

aside from that having the zombie able to move fast really made that movie intense. which is one of the reasons I like it.

ever notice though, you never see a bunch of zombies on hoverarounds in a walmart parking lot or cruising the streets.

Love all the horror/zombie movies. Saw 28 days in earlier post, love the fast, wacked out zombies. Makes for a very intense movie. You can tell where I am in life. The last 2 movies I saw in the theater are Rio and Tangled, and thought they were both really good movies at that.

Because I work night shift I watch the movies I want to see when I wake up at 2 am Sun and Mon mornings. Never know when the 4 year old will come walking in the room and have nightmares for a week if I try to watch a good movie during the day.
