Here is a video making and throwing a bola http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_RD9...eature=related I used lead line weights and 550 cord .... much lighter than the rocks but still effective against my intended target.

Thanks OW. Simple to make but it looks like it takes some practice to use properly. I will find out on my next days off.
When I was a kid we would make what we called apple slings.
You tie a 2' piece of string to the end of a stick and tie a nail to the other end of the string. Put a crab apple on the nail. Swing it around your head then give it a flick of the wrist sending the apple flying like a paintball. We had a few good bruises to explain with this thing.

I like to keep a couple cups worth of bird seed on my bag. You may ask why, the reason is to bait birds if need be to kill with sling shot.

Yes this is in my BOB... In fact I have several of them... No they are not what you think... These used to be a single serving liquid protein supplement sold at the Ingles food stores where I live. The bottles are vulgar, but they are waterproof and I use them to hold various items....

Now please feel free to let fly the hilarious comments.... I am used to them now... My wife has already given me the third degree on this...LOL....

put all your treasure in there and when the bad guys come to take your loot give it a little lubrication and slid it up your bum.

im only kidding. if it works good who cares if it had veins sticking out all over it and it used to run on batteries, if it works it works. those would be perfect for making little kits like gun cleaning kit etc.

I prefer my otis cleaning kit pretty small works wonders and don't look like a dildo. lol Only problem is i have the hardcore hunter one(it's in camo) and if you drop it you might not find it. I really love that gun cleaning kit on a serious note. i can clean every gun i own with that kit and it is only the size of a baseball.
