    Kenno,

I would and did buy another. 4 of them as back ups. I haven't shot enough to run the battery out yet. Maybe 20 total hours in the on position, which if you think about it, is quite a bit for one gun considering I keep 9 guns in active practice rotation. For $40, you can't go wrong, just don't bang that one around.

I also have 12 back up batteries.

The holosight by bushnell is made in the same place as the Eotech branded sight.

It is a perfectly acceptable product for light use but doesn't have the hardening features of the Eotech or the NV compatability of some of the Eotech models. The Eotech has the protective shield, is waterproof, and passes the military drop tests.

other than the those features, the bushnell can be a great light duty sight, but I would only
trust an Eotech for serious social situations if I wanted a holographic weapon sight.

Be careful of fakes. Its hard to tell.
My weapon can kill, it isn't limited to mere assault

I have an inexpensive "brand X" holo on one of my AR's, and for the most part it functions well enough. However, I intend to purchase a EOTech 557 for the AR that I am currently building, along with the 4x magnifier. I am satisfied that the purchase is a sound one, and once I have made the purchase, I will be more than happy to share my thoughts on it.

I have not reached the battery life yet on the $40 . It works well enough I would buy another. But for me, a 10/22 is not an assault weapon, which , in my opinion is what holos guts are for. In a survival situation, your 10/22 will be the meat gun for bunnies and squirrels and such. Put a nice 1-4 power scope on it and get you some dinner.

+1 Eotech for serious use. I have one on my AR and I also have a Burris on my Ruger Mark II Bull Barrel....seems pretty good although the dot is 4moa..

Whatever you do, don't go with a sightmark holo sight. It sucks. It's brightness can hardly been seen while out on a sunny day.
