The following link leads to an emergency siphon that I have purchased and used. Much better then sucking on one end of the hose and quickly putting said end into a bucket before it reaches your mouth. I have one for water and gasoline. Anyway this is one idea.

A hand -crank type Barrel pump might also prove to be a good investment.

Also another source that not many people think of is restaurant grease traps. This can be used as diesel fuel. What you need for this to work is lye, methanol alcohol, a strainer of some type (a shirt will do in a pinch), heat, and of course some grease from a grease trap.

I apologize but the exact process escapes me at the moment, but the process should be able to be looked up on line. (I have not memorized it yet as I do not have my diesel yet)

This will work very well in an emergency. Also this can be used regularly but regular diesel will need to be used afterward, when the fuel tank is just about empty to clean out the system before the grease diesel cools and congeals.
