It has been a while since I researched prison stats, but I seem to recall that in Texas 3 out of 5 people were in prison on drug charges. I would much rather have a bunch of pot heads living next to me then a bunch of alchoholics. Pot heads just want to eat twinkies and watch cartoons. Keep their sattelite dish running and they are happy campers. Alcoholics are not the same. So, if they release the people who are doing time for simple posession, I am fine with that.

How 'bout this? PPV death chamber....millions in revenue, and we could make a sport out of it...can you say "Running Man?"

*Choose your method of execution, we're gonna offer it on pay-per-view for $39.99*

Half the proceeds go to the victim(s) and the other half gets divided by the State and the telecoms provider....
I'd pay to watch the "Juice" get juiced....

My morals would be with the savings in taxes, and the victims' purse...LOL....and I'd offer it later in a DVD set

    Default RE public executions

Hi people, I really like some of the ideas that are being floated about here tonight. Ya know.. if it were not for that commie group the ACLU, we probally could get laws enacted to go back to outdoor hangings and firing squads. It is the dug in yuppie mentality that is partialy the culprit I believe, in our inability to get remedies against crime enacted. I personally would like to see us go back to the stocks, where for certain type of charges; say perhaps for rape, violence on old people or children, felony theft... you fill in the blank.. they would put these scumbags in these stocks for extended periods of time, for people to gape at at any hour of the day (of course in the winter months, these stocks would be located indoors having unlocked doors that could be accessed at any hour of the day or night) and it would also be permissable for people to throw rotten garbage, tomatoes, things of that nature at these creeps. Is there any chance do ya think, that would have any impact on the rise of crime in our cities? Hmmm, probally not, huh? And of course it goes without saying that we should go back to public hangings for extreme cases of crime. It is indeed a fact that we have for too long, been soft on crime. My belief is perhaps it is partially due to a number of factors; one, our courts are overloaded with cases, prosecuting attorney overburdened with cases, judges who sometimes not fit to sit on the bench, overcrowded jails and prisons, a society that for far too long been pushing the bounderies of decency and who also has lost all respect for life, people, cultures, not the least of which, themselves. So that is my two cents worth on this subject. Your questions, comments and or concerns are quite welcome.

Hell, Half my family is comprised of potheads. and rustys right, they literally want to do nothing but eat junk and watch cartoons.

Opinions on criminal activity... If you commit a heinous crime, you are turned over unarmed to the family against who you wronged.

Non violent drugs crimes. really the only drug that classifies under this with me is pot anyway. There is no jail time. Although I do not smoke pot, I believe that pot should be controlled much like alcohol.

I thoroughly believe that if we wanted to cut down the spending on prisons, the rounds put into the major criminals would not be .45 they would be .22 I am not sure how much more money we can save other than serving stale bread, and water, every other day and when your time comes you are taken out with a .22.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil....

Choices include the chair, gas chamber, hanging, 9 man firing squad, drowning tank, industrial wood chipper (head or feet first, your choice), and being thrown off of a very high cliff.

I think I'd like to watch the chipper and the cliff.
