I tried searching the threads but didn't get any hits. If you're not familiar, this is where you plant your corn then when it's about a foot you mound around the stalk and then plant beans in the mound then once those are up 3 or 4 inches you plant squash down the center between the corn rows. My take is that it's kind of like square foot gardening in a way as the corn stalk acts as a trellis for the beans and the squash is to act as ground cover to keep the ground moist so the entire ground is covered to help prevent weed growth.

Has anyone ever tried or done this? If so what were your results? I've read several "experts" web sites and they all seem to vary quite a bit in how it's to be laid out and planted.
