I always thought that being prepared from the unexpected was normal…when I was a kid we lived so far north in Canada that rivers were flowing to the north. The nearest store was a long, long ways from us. My mom always shopped for a month at a time and keeps a big supply staples at her disposal. So for me it is just normal to be prepared.
