Our city water supply was recently vandalised causing our city to be without usable water for 3 days. There was no warning of any kind. Everyone still had water but noone knew if it had been contaminated or not. The only way we heard about it was through a friend that had heard about it on the radio. We were told not to use the water for any reason until the extent of damage and possibility of contamination was confirmed. The vandalism occured late evening on Saturday. By the time I was 14 years old I could gut, skin and cut up a deer. I knew where to find game and how to hunt game, legally and otherwise if neccesary. I could cook on an electric stove or a wood campfire. I could wash my own clothes and did most of the yardwork ( my allowance was usually a brick of .22 shells).
